What is an "SRIC Student Organization Collaborator"?
Through this initiative Santa Rosa Intercultural Center aims to develop and sustain relationships with student organizations/student clubs that share our vision and philosophy rooted in social justice, racial justice and queer justice. We believe that building stronger relationships and community with one another is imperative in advocating for, creating, and sustaining change on campus.

- Connect with funding sources
- Priority for leadership programs
- Advertise through our social media and platforms
- Connect with other student leaders interested in social justice
- Participate in the SRIC student advisory board
Responsibilities
- Must uphold the Santa Rosa Intercultural Center's vision and mission throughout the time you are an official Student Organization Collaborator
- One student rep for each org needs to attend all required meetings (see next section)
- Communicate your events to intercultural@santarosa.edu if you would like support promoting
- Meet with a staff for guidance and support as needed
Required meeting dates:
Fall:
- Week of October 1st: 1-1 meeting with SRIC staff and each club/ club rep.
- 3 meetings through the semester: Thursday or Friday meetings, depending on SOC members availability.
Spring:
- Week of February 4th: 1-1 meeting with SRIC staff and each club/ club rep.
- 3 meetings through the semester: Thursday or Friday meetings, depending on SOC members availability.
How to Apply
In order to become a Student Org Collaborator with the Santa Rosa Intercultural Center, your student org must follow the steps below:
1. Be an active SRJC student club. Get more information on starting and activating student clubs.
2. Learn about the Santa Rosa Intercultural Center. Familiarize your organization with our mission and values and our center's hxrstory. Your student organization’s values should align with those of our center.
3. Ensure that your student org/club as a whole has reviewed and understands the benefits and responsibilities of affiliating with us, your organization’s responsibilities, and that your membership has approved submitting an application.
4. Meet with Malena Hernandez, Santa Rosa Intercultural Center Coordinator, before October 1, 2025. To set up an appointment, email mhernandezlegorreta@santarosa.edu.
5. Complete the SRIC Student Organization Collaborators application. All student organizations must apply each year. Applications are due by October 1, 2025.
