Santa Rosa Intercultural Center's Hours

Monday & Tuesday: 9:30am - 6:00pm

Wednesday & Thursday: 9:30am - 4pm

Fridays: By appointment

Services available during drop-in hours:

Hang Out and Study SpaceComfy couches as well as various tables and chairs to study or hangout with your community
Computers & Laptops You have access to use computers, and laptops in the center. You also have access to free black and white printing. 
School Supplies You can have access to scantrons, bluebooks, pencils etc. 
Snacks SRJC's Basic Needs department replenishes our snacks. 
Kitchenette We have microwaves, dishes, silverware, cups, filtered water, tea and coffee. 
Children's Corner Although children are celebrated in the whole space and are welcome to use the whole center, we have an intentional children's corner where they can have access to age relevant toys, books, tables, and art supplies. 
Social Justice Library + Click here to view our various collections online. You can check-out the books in the center.
2 single stall restrooms The two restrooms are single use restrooms and are supplied with hygienic products including pads and tampons. The right restroom has a changing station and supplied with various sized diapers. 
Video Relay PhoneStudents have access to a video relay phone to make phone calls. 
Other departments, Faculty & Staff who use our spaceThere are various faculty, programs, or department that host some hours in the SRIC. These will be updated in the fall and spring semesters. We do not have any during the summer semester.

Queer Resource Center

    The QRC’s mission is to eliminate barriers to equity for Queer students while empowering the broader campus community through advocacy, education, and cultivation of a flourishing Queer and Trans community.

Native American Center

    The Native American Center (NAC) is dedicated to supporting the diverse and changing needs of Native students and increasing our visibility by hosting student-centered programs, cultural events, and providing tools for academic success and personal well-being. The center is a vital link between Native students, the College, and tribal communities that fosters growth through mentoring, leadership opportunities, and scholarly development.

Black Learning & Opportunities Center

    Although the Sawubona BLOC is not housed in the SRIC, we are neighbors and share common space with one another and our students interact in both spaces. The mission is to foster a space that welcomes, celebrates, and supports scholars of African descent, with co-curricular programming intentionally designed to provide support, engagement, and release Black joy and creativity.

Reserve the Commons

Reservations by student clubs are only approved for those clubs that are SRIC Student Orga Collaborators. Reservations by SRJC departments will be assessed case by case. Reservations are granted to events that are in line with the vision, mission, and values of the SR Intercultural Center. Priority is given to student-based use of space. To reserve the space:

1) email intercultural@santarosa.edu with

  • Date
  • Time
  • Event purpose
  • Name of the SRJC department/program or club hosting event (if a SRJC student club: Are you an SRIC SAO?)
  • SRJC employee that is leading the event
  • How is the event connected with the vision and mission of the Santa Rosa Intercultural Center.

You will receive an email if the reservation was tentatively approved or denied within a business week of submitting.

2) Once tentatively approved by the Santa Rosa Intercultural Center, fill out the district event form (for "Where will your event be located at SRJC Santa Rosa?*" check "other" and write in "Santa Rosa Intercultural Center")

3) the event is not fully approved until you receive an approval from the district confirming your event.
